Former C called up

2004 Canadian Tommy Everidge was called up to the Oakland A's as Daric Barton went on the 15 day DL. Everidge began the season with the Midland RockHounds hitting .306 in 55 games he then advanced to the Sacramento Rivercats where he was swinging a hot bat hitting at a .382 pace in 43 games. Everidge had a 13 game hitting streak going 25 for 49 batting .510 during the streak. Called up he played Tuesday in Boston going 0-4 going into ninth when with a runner on third Everidge hammered a double to get his first hit and first RBI. Later in the inning he scored his first Major League run.
