Segment 5 homestays

Our first player to stay with us was Neal Cotts a compensation round draft in 2001. Neal a lefthand thrower was and is very quiet and humble. Called up to the next level whilst the C's were on the road in Spokane on Sunday. Neal had to scramble to help his parents change plans as they were to fly into Vancouver on the Monday so they could see him in Visalia, California. We had to pack Neals belongings to send them to Visalia as players do not take all their belongings on the road.
Neal was traded too the Chicago White Sox where he won the 2005 World Series and was set up man of the year.
Cotts is with the Chicago Cubs organization in 2009 but his out with season ending surgery to his left elbow.
