The Vancouver Mounties hoping to increase their revenue decided to play some game at Queen's Park in New Westminster. 1961 and 1962 saw the Vancouver Mounties play split doubleheaders with the first game in New Westminster in the early afternoon then a night game at 8PM at Capilano Stadium.
Unfortunately the crowds never made their way through the Queen's Park Stadium turnstiles.
Thus during the 1962 season the Vancouver Mounties had to cancel the experiment for financial reasons.
